Pottery

In high school and college I took pottery classes, after I gradiated from high school I bought an electric pottery wheel on eBay. Then in college I was able to take a few classes. In between then and now I have also used community Ed classes to make more.

My favorite thing to make would be bowls, cups (with out handles) and plates.

Glazes:

My favorite glazes leave the pottery with a natural feel, i like to leave bare spots to contrast with the sheen. I have also experimented with adding glass to the insides.

Klins:

If I had the ability I would love to fire my work in a salt klin, but that's not as achievable as an electric.

Materials:

In high school I used brown clay (it was recycled), in college I experimented with porcelains, porcelains is a lot smoother and softer to work with.
